Who is the real Jesus Christ? That is a question that has been on all of our hearts. On one extreme we see what popular shows, comedians and movies have distorted the real person of Jesus Christ to be. On the other, we have seen extreme religous people portray another false hope. So, who is the real Jesus Christ?

The answer you are looking for is found in the Holy Bible, a book of writings that were inspired by the Holy Spirit and given to men over time. These writings prophesied of Jesus Christ thousands of years before he came as a human. These writings have been confirmed by the most elite scholars in every generation from then to now to be historically accurate and legitimately written by the author that it is named.

In God's word, it states that after God created man, that man broke God's law and that his violation separated him from God. Then the perfect enviroment that God had created began to change and the world became fallen. God gave people a law to obey but man still could not keep this law. Through repentance and sacrifice, man was able to be forgiven for his sins. However, God saw our depravity and sent his son, Jesus Christ to earth as a human to live here among us and to become a sacrifice for us.

There is no way for you and I to live perfect lives. We have all violated God's law. Ask yourself if you have ever lied, stole, lusted or hated to the point that there was murder in your heart. Those who continue to live in their violations, choose to follow satan, a fallen angel who rebelled against God before the earth was created. God created hell for satan and the one third of angels that followed him. Hell is a place of judgement for them and anyone who follows them. It is an eternity in a lake a fire where you are burning but never consumed. Jesus Christ described as a place of weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Jesus Christ came to earth and took our punishment so that God's anger against us would be paid for. The word says that once this life is over that we will face a judgement. At that judgement, even though all of us are guilty of violating God's law, Jesus Christ has paid for our eternal punishment with his perfect sacrifice. Jesus Christ never sinned but was tortured and murdered for us.

He went to hell for us and claimed back the keys to death, hell and the grave. God resurrected Jesus Christ and he appeared to many people before he was raised to heaven to be seated at the right hand of God where he now reigns over this earth. The Holy Spirit was given to empower followers of Jesus Christ to tell the good news to the world. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin and leads us in the way that God wants us to live. Turn from you sin and allow Jesus Christ to renew your life today.

Jesus Christ stated that he is coming back to resurrect those who have died that believe in him and to take those who are living who believe in him. He stated that he was going to prepare a place for those who believe in him.

How do you become his? Believe on him and that God raised him from the dead, confess to others that he is your lord, believe this in your heart, you will be saved. Saved from what? Hell, the eternal punishment for your violations against God.
